"Wait, is this a joke?" That's a real message I got about the Doodle Pro® Summit. So today I'm answering it the best way I know how: by letting you hear the experts yourself.

I pulled four clips straight from the Summit interviews. Kristi Benson reframes demand barking in a way that made me laugh out loud. Dr. Adam Christman nearly has a panic attack as I quiz him on every chew in the pet store aisle. Dr. Sylvalyn Hammond, The Honest Vet, shares why she fights pet misinformation with nothing to sell you. And Kate LaSala reveals the surprising truth about dogs who bark and lunge on leash. Hint: most aren't aggressive at all.

Doodle parents from 21 countries and 46 states have already registered. The Summit is July 27 to 29, fully online, and completely complimentary to attend live. Plus, every day at 5 PM ET I go live for Doodle Talk Live to translate the talks into exactly what to do with YOUR Doodle.

Welcome back, DoodlePro Nation. I want to start today with something real. When I've been posting about this upcoming summit about bringing together 15 worldwide canine experts who respect doodles, some of the messages and comments I've gotten back have said, wait, is this a joke? Is this a joke? And I want to answer that gently but clearly. No, it's not a joke. Doodles are not a joke. And neither are the people who love them. And neither are the world-class experts who said yes to being part of this. Because here is what makes this summit a genuine first. Nowhere else has anyone gathered this many respected, science-based canine experts from around the world who actually welcome your doodle instead of dismissing them. That has never existed until now. And the fact that some people are surprised it exists is exactly why it needs to. And Doodle Pro Nation, the people are showing up. As I record this, doodle parents from 21 countries and 46 US states have already registered. 21 countries. This is a worldwide gathering. And it's happening in just 10 days. And it's the proof that our doodles and the people who love them deserve to be taken seriously. If you haven't saved your spot yet, stay with me because after today, you're going to want to be in that room. Last time I introduced you to some of the incredible experts joining us. But today, I'm doing something even better. I'm going to let you hear them yourself. I pulled a few moments straight from the summit interviews I've already recorded, little previews so you can hear exactly what is waiting for you inside. Okay, let's start. First up, Christy Benson. If your doodle barks at you, demand barks. That insistent, look at me. I want it now, barking. That can drive you right up the wall. This one's for you. Here's Christy from her summit session on what that barking really is. Listen up.

SPEAKER_00

So imagine if you went to your job and someone said, Oh, look at you, demand working. You know, you're like, well, no, I'm just working. Like I'm I just putting in an honest day, you know, like, and then I get my paycheck. Like that, I'm not demand working, or or you know, in any situation, if you walk to the fridge to get yourself a nice, you know, can of pop, and then someone's like, Look at you, demand walking, you know. Well, no, I've just I've learned that if I do the work of going to the fridge, I can you know reinforce myself with this, you know, treat that I want. Um, so demand barking because we have accidentally trained our dogs to do it is the same thing.

SPEAKER_04

Demand working. I laugh so hard at that. Your doodle is not being bossy or unreasonable. Your doodle simply has learned that barking works, which means you can teach something you like instead. That's the whole spirit of this summit. Understanding first and then solving. And Christy's full session takes you all the way there. Okay, next one. And I have to warn you, this clip made me laugh so hard because I did this to him. When we recorded Dr. Adam Christman's summit session on safe and unsafe chews, I started rapid firing every chew in the pet story aisle, Adam. Cow hooves, pig ears, rawhide, real sticks. And well, listen to how that went for the poor man. Real sticks.

SPEAKER_01

Are you trying for me to like go into a full-long panic attack as a veterinarian? Hold on, where's my thing when I need one? Instead, I'm gonna have a sweetish face.

SPEAKER_03

All right, how about um chicken feet?

SPEAKER_01

Did you say chicken feet?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, the dehydrated chicken feet.

SPEAKER_01

All right, okay, yes, I'll say yes to this one.

SPEAKER_04

A full-bone panic attack. And I was winning. I mean, how much do you love him? Zero shame, all laughter, and you walk away knowing exactly what is safe to hand your doodle, including the surprise yes we finally landed on. That's his whole summit session, and it might be the most fun you've ever had learning something this important. Now let me shift gears because this next voice is one you need. Dr. Silva Lynn Hammond, better known as the Honest Vet. She's built her whole mission around cutting through the misinformation that reaches doodle parents every single day. Here she is on why she started doing what she does. Listen here.

SPEAKER_02

So I thought, okay, I'm gonna fight this a different way. And that's where the honest vet was born, honestly. And I just I went with honest because I'm like, look, everything I am saying is honestly how I feel. This is the honest truth. This is the hit first.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And I'm not making any money. That's what I tell people. Occasionally I agree to do collaborations for products that I would already recommend in clinic. And I'm very trans about that. But I'm not trying to sell anybody courses. There's no gatekeeping. It's like this is real information that things that I'm seeing every day, things that you know I've learned through years of education and then being a veterinarian. And it's literally just information to help you keep your pet healthy and happy.

SPEAKER_04

Nothing to sell you, just information to help you keep your pet healthy and happy. Do you know how rare that is? That's why I wanted her at this summit so badly. And her full session on cutting through pet health misinformation is one every single doodle parent needs. Okay, one more for today. Kate Lasala. This one's for everyone whose walks have started to feel like a battle. The barking, the lunging at other dogs, the moment you see another leash coming and your stomach drops. And what Kate told me about why dogs actually do this will genuinely surprise you. Listen.

SPEAKER_03

And it's natural to assume it's oh, because they're agsover, they're afraid. But most of the leash reactivity cases I see, it's actually that dog is pro-social and friendly, but is frustrated because they're unleashed. They see another dog, they can't get to that dog to interact or sniff or investigate or play battle or whatever. And you're pulling back, you're creating pressure. If you're walking on a on a collar, you're creating pressure on their neck. Did you catch that?

SPEAKER_04

Most of these dogs are not aggressive. They're not even afraid. They're friendly, social dogs who are frustrated that the leash will not let them go say hello. That changes everything about how you help them. And Kate's full summit session walks you through exactly what to do instead. So there you go. For a little taste of what's waiting for you inside the Doodle Pro Summit. And remember, that's just four. There are 15 world-class experts total. Three full days. And every single day at 5 p.m. Eastern, I go live to translate it all into exactly what to do with your doodle. Here's the thing: 21 countries and 46 states have already registered. And we're just 10 days out. This is really happening. And I would hate for you to miss it. It's completely complimentary to attend live. So go right now before you forget, doodleprosummit.com. That's D-O-O-D-L-E. Doodleprosummit.com. Save your spot and I'll see you there. Until then, give that wonderfully imperfect, deeply loved doodle yours a scratch behind the ears for me. I'll see you at the summit.
